Bizarre Eating Habits of 6 of the Nigeria's Current Most Powerful Politicians

Politicians are just ordinary humans like everyone else. They eat. They poo poo. They also fart. After all, 'body no be firewood'. I here by present to you some eating habits of six of the Nigeria's current powerful politicians.

1. El Rufai

El Rufai eating sugarcane

El Rufai is arguably one of the hottest and most powerful Nigerian politicians at the moment. The short Kaduna state governor is always in the news for one reason or the other. If it is not about his exchange of words with pastor Suleiman, it would be him chewing sugar cane in the public - an act that no other Nigerian politician have been seen doing before. This could be his favourite food or a publicity stunt. Whichever, he is not going to add any height even if he chews a sugarcane as long as iroko tree.

2. Rochas Okorocha

The loud mouthed governor of Imo State who knows the solution to every problem in the world but does not know the solution to the arrears of unpaid salaries and pensions of Imo State civil servants is no doubt a powerful man in Nigerian politics. He has been spotted many times near roasted maize - a pointer that he cherishes the food a lot. What a humble governor and lover of his people. My people my people!

3. Asiwaju Tinubu

Asiwaju Tinubu

The fear of Tinubu is the beginning of wisdom in today's Nigerian politics. Asiwaju Tinubu aka Jagaban has politics flowing in his veins. A glance at the mouth of this very handsome Lagos State former governor will make you swear that he likes eating ewedu and amala - a common Yoruba food. On the contrary, his favorite food is rice. "To be honest with you, I love rice. Rice first, amala second. I don't like eba that much. In any form at all, I can eat rice 3 times a day" said Tinubu in an interview with TheNews editors in Lagos.

Ofada rice
May be I will begin to massacre rice like him. Who knows if there are unknown nutrients in rice that made him so powerful politically that at the mention of his name, PDP would bow and saraki will confess that Tinubu is Jagaban.

Obasanjo drinking Ijebu garri

Ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo still remains active and powerful in Nigerian politics. He has been spotted licking ice cream and drinking ijebu garri in different occasions. There is no doubt that papa Iyabo likes small children's food looking at the way he is enjoying the ice cream. However, in one interview televised by the Nigerian Television Authority during his regime as president, Obasanjo revealed that his favourite food was pounded yam with egusi soup. No wonder he keep pounding his opponents politically.

5. Muhammadu Buhari

If asked what food the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, eats, what comes to our mind is kunu, gworo, cow milk and so on. That may not be far from the truth. Seeing our president always very thin simply means that he is not a fan of food. May be a cup of tea with a sachet of 20 naira milo is just okay for him in the morning as seen in the picture with his vice during their presidential campaign.

6. Ayodele Fayose

Peter Ayodele Fayose has carved a niche for himself in the Nigerian politics. The fearless and outspoken governor of Ekiti State is the nightmare of Buhari and APC. His words send shock waves to the spines of APC members. However, it is no news in Nigeria that Fayose is a kpomo loving governor.

He has been seen countless times buying, cutting or eating kpomo. Kpomo which is the skin of cow is delicious to many Nigerians when properly cooked. That is why the leather industry cannot thrive in the country. For Nigerian leather industry to develop, Buhari should ban kpomo. And some people like Fayose would see it as witch hunting. Fayose and kpomo are one.
